The Pandemic took a toll on everyone around the world and we needed to find a way to keep ourselves employed with the economic crash falling upon the world. We all worked for a company called iBall Instruments and the owner, Carl, called a meeting and let us know that we need to come up with ideas for another business to help keep the lights on. Many ideas were thrown about, but one stood out above the rest. Marcus had been building his own soil for a while in his back yard, but could not keep up with the demand he needed for himself and for all of the other people who wanted his soil as well— thus, Simply Organic Soil was formed! In the beginning it was simply an idea with great prospect that we were more than willing to try and on October 8th, 2020, Simply Organic Soil was an official LLC! We are a do-it-yourself kind of crew and we have put so much blood, sweat, and tears into this company to provide the highest quality product and to keeps costs as low as possible. From Carl being the initial financial support and engineer of our very first mixer, Marcus’ love of Soil Chemistry allowing him to design the soil itself, to Rowena handling all of our accounting and scheduling, Qiana taking care of all of the art, design, and marketing , and John being our maintenance man and heavy equipment driver we have handled every single step of this company ourselves. Simply Organic Soil is truly a passion project for every single one of us and we are so thankful to anyone who has supported us in this journey.

In addition to new purchases we also rebuild your soil! As others have done we do not have a ‘re-amendment pack’ as we refuse to re-build soil blindly. Our customer’s soil samples are tested at Logan Labs, we evaluate the data, use agronomist recommendations, share the data with the customer, and then re-balance the soil’s nutrition and microorganisms. Our precious water retention materials like peat moss and rice hulls are limited resources, and we are doing our best to re-cycle these materials as much as possible. We also help guide growers in laboratory tissue analysis so the grower can see where their plants stand nutritionally. No more deficiency chart visual guesswork, we can tell you exactly what deficiencies or excesses you have!
